Normandy Isle is super fun and very quirky! It’s part of Miami Beach but sits in the bay between the beach and the mainland. The streets all have French names, and it’s a National historic site. Unlike El Portal and Biscayne Park, there is some commercial area on the island with some shops and restaurants.
But the thing I love most, is that no matter where you are on Normandy Isle, you’re a 10-minute (or less) walk from an amazing view across Biscayne Bay to downtown Miami. I’ve included a photo, but it really doesn’t do it justice.
